Aspen 090902 Key: E Overtone: E Length: 65.5" Bell size: 5.5 x 6" Mouthpiece: 1 1/8" Weight: 7 lb 2 oz Price: $595 SOLD |
Rev it up!!! Compared to cars, this one is like a 1970's muscle car with a huge engine
under the hood, throaty powerful character that runs from a purr to a roar,
and a lot of punch when you step on the gas... heavy thumping power, and warm
deep dark growly sound. Solid backpressure, very easy to play, very
easy toot, and responds to pressured accents with a rough deep thump.
Musical octave toot fits any Key of E musical setting. Gloss finish, Paua shell
inlay, and a gorgeous piece of wood! |

Aspen 090901 Key: E flat, Overtone: E Length: 65.75" Bell size: 5 x 4.75" Mouthpiece: 1 1/8" Weight: 6 lb 5 oz Price: $550 |
Reallly well balanced deep sounding didge with power, finesse, and rhythmic accuracy.
Even frequency response, throaty clear sound character that roughens to a
growl with pressure and subtle/passive vocalization, good harmonic response, very
easy toot, unrestricted vocal response with loud barks and shrieks.
An easy playing didge suitable for beginner through advanced players.
Slighly fatter warmer sound than H090901 above. Simple elegant paua shell inlays
and satin finish on a very beautiful piece of wood. |

Aspen 090606 Key: D Overtone: F#/D Length: 59 1/8" Bell size: 4 x 4 1/4" Mouthpiece: 1 5/32" Weight: 4 lb 13 oz Price: $395 |
Overall an uplifting sounding instrument with a bit of sharp edged character. The
slender, moderate taper creates a bright, midrangy tonality with moderate but
full sounding bass. This one's key attributes are about subtle harmonic, rhythmic
and vocal manipulation, with natural restless rhythmic character. Easy playing
medium backpressure suitable for beginner through advanced. Very musical
tuned toot intervals of third and octave result in natural harmonics that
contribute its uplifting vibe. Art motif represents planting a seed, growing
things and associated metaphors. Paua shell inlay and satin finish. |

Aspen 090907 Key: F Overtone: F# Length: 71" Bell size: 8 x 18" Mouthpiece: 1 1/8" Weight: 11 lb 15 oz Price: $750 Note: due to the size and shape of this instrument, extra packing and shipping fees apply. |
HOLY COW!! The base of this one is 18 inches across! I was lucky enough to find this
wild piece with some of the root mass still attached which created this wild
forked bell. Though I generally eschew voluminous bells myself, this one does
not create undue boom or honk that annhiliates the other sound complexities. I
believe this is because of the fork, as it is not an enclosed bell shape.
It is a fantastic powerful punchy player with solid backpressure, good sensitivity
and room to move when pushed. Great tonal balance with strong bass, lots
of power, growl and great projection. Black Sun/Star motif, paua shell inlay
and high gloss finish. |

Aspen 090905 Key: F Overtone: F Length: 61.5" Bell size: 5.25 x 6" Mouthpiece: 1 1/8" Weight: 6 lb 9 oz Price: $550 SOLD |
An ego boosting power stick with excellent solid backpressure, and excellent rhythmic
definition. Effortless to play with both subtlety and power and a super easy
octave toot. Very sensitive, and can be played sweetly, but also is easily pushed
taking very little pressure to create big bumping accents. To me this is
the epitome of a balanced rhythmic power instrument with accurate fast response.
Paua shell inlays and high gloss finish. |

Aspen 080902 Key: F#, Overtone: G Length: 55 1/8" Bell size: 4.5 x 5.25" Mouthpiece: 1 1/8" Weight: 6 lb 4 oz Price: |
Ripper instrument for intermediate to advanced player. Very trad-ish tonality and
response. Sound character is full yet also bright and edgy, turning rough when
pushed with a bit of pressure, and especially when coupled with a bit of underlying
vocalization. Medium solid backpressure with room to push it allows
for rough pops and accents in varying degrees from tongue and throat movements
coupled with varying playing pressure. Very cool piece of wood with semi open/forked
bell. Satin finish |

Aspen 080705 Key: F Overtone: G flat Length: 54 3/4" Bell size: 3 7/8" x 4 1/4" Mouthpiece: 1 1/8" Weight: 3 lb 3 oz Price: $ |
An easy playing, fast and furious restless ripper of a didge with solid backpressure
and complex full sound. It is medium loud with nice internalized tonality,
overall dark sound quality, prominent harmonics and a lot of roughness/growl. Very
responsive to traditional style technique with a slightly choppy feeling of
traction, edginess and quick rebound in response to defined tongue movements,
throat pops and tongued toots. Extended mouthpiece of desert oak and darker aspen,
and high gloss finish. Suitable for any level player. |

Cottonwood Key: F, Overtone: G flat Length: 51" Bell size: 2 7/8" Mouthpiece: 1 1/8" Weight: 2 lb 13 oz Price: $ |
A smaller firecracker of a didge that's looks betray it's sound and fast easy playing
character. A nice didge for travel. Like a small well balaced yidaki.
Has somewhat edgy growly trad-ish sound, solid backpressure and easy toot.
